An endometrial ablation is a procedure to remove the endometrium, which is the lining of the uterus. Healing time is relatively quick, and most women are back to their normal routine within a week.\u00a0<\/p>

Bleeding is normal for a few days after an endometrial ablation. A watery or bloody discharge can occur for up to three weeks. The discharge comes out first as a watery pink fluid and may be heavy during the first three days after the procedure. You can use pads to absorb the discharge and change them every time you go to the bathroom. Do not use a douche or tampons while recovering from an endometrial ablation.\u00a0<\/p>

Contact your doctor immediately if you experience heavy bleeding, or bleeding that doesn\u2019t stop within two days after the procedure.\u00a0<\/p>
