About Dr. Chu

Dr. Chu was raised in Plano, Texas. She graduated from Rice University in Houston with dual bachelor’s degrees in Biochemistry and Philosophy. She then moved to Dallas to complete her medical education at UT Southwestern, graduating with a distinction in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety.

She completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at UT Southwestern and Parkland Hospital. There, she became equipped to provide the full scope of obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Chu is extensively trained in in-office procedures, operative deliveries, and robotic, laparoscopic, and hysteroscopic approaches to surgery.

Dr. Chu has special interests in routine health maintenance, contraception, both low-risk and high-risk obstetrics, minimally invasive surgery, and the menopausal transition. She greatly values the patient-physician relationship and enjoys serving women through all stages of their lives. Dr. Chu looks forward to providing individualized care and advocating for your health. She belongs to the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, and the Dallas County Medical Society. Outside of medicine, her hobbies include indoor bouldering with her partner Chris, exploring the DFW food scene, and spending time with her family in North Texas.
